McCarthy-Jacobs a Joint Venture(Design-Builder)is soliciting interest from qualified subcontractors and suppliers to participate in the bidding phase of the project.

Project description: The Torrance Groundwater Desalter Expansion (TGDE) Project will improve and expand on the Goldsworthy Desalter that has been treating groundwater for potable use.
The TGDE will increase the capacity of the facility to 7.2 MGD and will include the following components:

New reverse osmosis (RO) pretreatment system including automatic backwashing strainers (ABS).
·       Addition of two new RO skids
·       Modification of the chemical facilities to accommodate the expanded plant capacity
·       Construction of a new finished water clearwell
·       Repurpose of the existing clearwell as a neutralization basin
·       Addition of four new wells and the implementation of the existing Brewer Well
·       Addition of new raw water pipelines
·       New concentrate wetwell, pump station, and pipeline
·       New finished water pipeline

Key Subcontractor Qualifications:Experience with water/wastewater projects
 
Key Dates:Request for Proposals (RFP) issued to Subcontractors – 03/24/25 via Building Connected website; Proposals Due to McCarthy Building Companies – 04/24/25.

·       Project Labor Agreement (PLA)
